I make custom insoles for comfort, injury prevention, and performance. I am also able to manage leg length discrepancies and pain in knees and hips etc. Managing the way people stand, and walk can have a profound impact on comfort.

I may be able to help you with: –

I have a garden workshop in Ashford Surrey TW15 3BT where I make all my bespoke insoles

It’s a residential address, the parking is free street parking, NOT in ULEZ

It starts with a consultation. That’s free if you choose to come along and find out more about the process and then decide what you’d like to do.

What do you need to bring to your appointment and what do I need from you?

I will need bare feet. Please don’t worry. Everyone thinks their feet are weird, but I promise you they are not.
It also helps to be able to see the lower leg so trouser or leggings that role up is super helpful.
Bring socks, specific ones if you have different ones for hiking, running etc. Insole tolerance is small and a good sock can make a difference.
For ski boot fitting, bring Ski socks, reasonably thin, technical socks are best if getting your ski boot insole made. We need to try it in the boot. So also bring the boot.
I try and ensure the orthotic device fits in as many shoes as possible – so please bring a selection of shoes. There is no limit!

Casting a mould of the foot

I use Sidas equipment, and I begin by casting a mould of the foot in an optimised position, I then place the base product in the cast shape and this forms the foundation of the insole. Heat makes it material pliable, so we then wait for it to cool in the silicone cushions

Once they are cool they are removed and EVA foam is adhered to the back – This is a stage of further customisation depending on the person, their requirements, weight, strength and activities, to name a few factors.

The insoles are then ground so they fit into the shoe and are comfortable for the user.

They are then fitted into the shoes.

Insoles for dress shoes can also be made and purchased. Day to day ones are unlikely to seamlessly fit in a dress shoe due to the differing profile
